STATEMENT

SECTION is a visual book in which, for each issue, I select ten contemporary artists whose work I find most compelling, artists with whom I feel a genuine desire to build relationships. Featuring practitioners across a wide range of media, the book is not bound by a single theme; instead, it serves as a platform where individual perspectives and sensibilities intersect.
Through this project, I take on every aspect of its realization, from my own photographic practice to layout design, editing, and advertising, treating the entire structure that carries art from production to distribution as a unified artistic practice. The book SECTION itself is an experiment in redefining what it means to be an artist today.
I hope that, as readers turn each page, they encounter visual moments that spark new insights and inspiration. Above all, I hope this book circulates within the contemporary art world as a tool of communication among artists.

『SECTION』は、私の感覚において現在もっとも刺激的で、関係を築きたいと感じた同時代・同世代のアーティストたちを、毎号10名ずつ選出し構成しているヴィジュアルブックです。現代美術のさまざまなメディアで活動する作家たちが参加しており、ひとつのテーマに縛られず、それぞれの視点や感性が交差する場となっています。
私はこのプロジェクトを通じて、写真家としての作品制作に加え、誌面構成・編集・広告撮影に至るまでを自ら手がけることで、制作から流通に至る構造そのものをひとつの実践として捉えています。SECTIONという本自体が、アーティストとしての在り方を再定義するための試みでもあります。
読者にとっては、ページをめくる中で何かの気づきやきっかけとなるような、視覚的な出会いの場であってほしいと願っています。そして何より、この本がアーティスト同士の新たなコミュニケーションを生み出すためのツールとして、現代美術の文脈のなかで流通していくことを目指しています。
